6 days Bale Mountains Trekking and Tours
This trip focusses on the incredible adventure site of the southern part of Ethiopia, through the wonderful Bale Mountains National Park, an area of high altitude with volcanic crags and lakes, forests, alpine moor land, trout filled streams and a striking variety of fauna and flora.
Further to the Rift Valley lakes’ Lakes Zwai, Langano, Abiata, Shalla, Awassa and Abaya.
itinerary
After an early breakfast depart from Addis Drive to Asselaand then head on to Bale region. Camping in Bale Goba.
After breakfast you will begin hiking the Sanneti Plateau on theway to Deemtu Summit. Lunch on the way; visit the mostinteresting Landscape in Games then late in the afternoon return to camp overnight camping in Bale Goba.
Drive to SOF Omar Caves, after visiting we will have lunch on the way and drive for sightseeing to the Wabe Shebelle Gorge, then return to campsite.
Drive to Awassa for the beautiful mountains and valley.
After an early breakfast depart from the hotel. Watch endemic birds around the town, especially at fish market, relax the rest of the day.
Drive to Lake Abyatta and Shalla Parks to the best bird sanctuary of the great lakes of the Rift Valley, lunch in Ziway. 2 hours drive to your hotel in Addis Abeba.
